This is a very good slipcover. I got it to protect my couch when my 2 dogs sit on it. I had previously simply been draping a flat sheet over the couch, which worked well also, but left the sides unprotected, and would eventually fall off from repeated sitting and have to be re-draped. The slipcover really is as advertised. I don't think it's too thin, as the previous review stated. It's a reasonable thickness - it certainly is thinner than the normal couch material, but the thickness seems ok. I don't find it seethrough either (as the previous review mentioned); however, I do have a white couch, so perhaps if your couch is a darker color, it might show through, I don't know... But, so far it really seems to be holding up well to the dogs and is really pretty much as advertised. I must say though, that I haven't gotten it to fit my couch nearly as nicely as in the picture, there seems to be extra fabric hanging off which leads to creasing - this could be because my couch isn't as big as the one in the photo - so, it's slightly frumpy with the extra fabric, but overall ok. Anyway, this certainly seems to be a good purchase for pets - or just for protecting your couch for any other reason - for the price, it's worth trying, and you can alternate between having it on or off. It seems to be holding up alright so far - but I haven't washed it yet, to see how it does with dirt and stains...

Use a thicker heavier cotton duck.. I wish I would have known how thin and see through it was. .I would not have bought it.. DO you have heavier fabrics in the same style and color???
