    I bought these to protect my nice light-colored sofas during family entertaining. These worked. Grandpa spilled wine on them, kids got dirty shoes on them, sofas underneath were untouched, AND bonus - everything washed out of the slipcovers! I bought the natural. Drawbacks: they need ironing prior to each use (even from just being folded in the cupboard), and they are a fairly time-consuming to put on if you want them to fit properly and look nice. That being said, I'm glad I have them and the price was fantastic. They are a good basic design - they're not going to look like custom [...] slipcovered furniture, but I wasn't expecting that so I'm happy. We have an upscale, professionally decorated house and these are just fine for us to protect our couches during entertaining. Definintely recommend them.

      I wish the fabric were a little sturdier, others I have bought for same price were denser fabrics and more durable. The gathers don't keep it in place, but maybe it's not designed for a family with kids.
